eltroxin no longer avail in HK ...

Hi Eltroxin (thyroid med) by Glaxo Wellcome is no longer available in HK and i need to get more - I don't want Chinese made or generic substitutes...please does anyone know what other co. makes it and available maybe its a different name ?

Katherine, I googled Eltroxin and what you need is levothyroxine. I go to dr Lauren Bramley for my thryoid meds but you can try Fanda in World Wide House for your own refill.

Good luck, I know it's frustrating not to get what you want.

Levothyroxine is manufactured by APP and distributed by Luen Cheong Hong. Comes in 200mcg and 500mcg vials.

Eltroxin is manufactured by Sigma and is also distributed by Luen Cheong Hong. It appears Glaxo (which is also a manufacturer) used to distribute it for Sigma. Perhaps it is only temporarily unavailable due to the change of distributor. Why not give Luen Cheong a call to see if - or when - Eltroxin will be distributed again. Phone: 2575 4486.
