Please help! My daughter, 11 yrs old, hv lots of pimples on her face since 3 months now. She applies lotion and cream, even wash her faces twice with cleanser everyday. But still, it doesn't seems to improve. Does anybody know what to do?
My daughter developed pimples on her face at the age of eight. It was a very distressing thing for her most of her life. We tried everything, anti-biotics, diet etc.. When she was finally twenty four, she had a course of Acutane and it cleared them up. Acutane is a drug for really long term acne, and was suitable for my daughter, but it has been implicated in terrible birth defects (while taken during pregnancy and if one becomes pregnant while it is still in your system)
Recently, I've read that dairy products are highly implicated in acne now due to the hormones in the milk (not the fat). You could try taking your daughter off of milk and see if that makes any difference.
I sympathise with you. It was a heartbreaking problem for my beautiful daughter to have to endure from such an early age...
Trying a good allergist or dermatologist can help... different people's acne responds to different things.
Dear heartbeat, tks for sharing the experience and information. Will take off milk to see, hope it helps. Indeed, it's heartbreaking to see her being so frustrated.
try the Pro-active, my daughter used this stuff and it help her. But the problem is, hk do not have it. I asked friends to buy it for me in Phils or US.
Does anyone know where can I find the "Solyptol", an antiseptic cream, or any ither kind of cream which consists Benzalkonium Chloride? I heard this help.
