Boob Job

My wife recently asked me what I though about her getting Breast Surgery and of course, I did the responsible thing and told her that I had married her for her intelect and not her appearance and then proceeded to research the risks and communicate these to her - Actually, I jumped with joy and immediately started to do some research on her behalf to speed things along.

The problem I'm now facing is getting some recomendations from experienced people of where is best to get this done. In previous threads on this site, Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok has been recomended, but I've struggled to find any other recomendations.

My wife is Korean and she is doing the research about getting it done back in Korea.

Could anyone recomend anywhere else, just to give us some choice on the matter, with experienced, reliable and safe practices?

If you wife is Korean and speaks the language and does know people there, then it's best for her to do it in Korea. The added benefit of doing surgery in someone's home country, if possible, is the comfort that one feels about the environment - this is especially important during post surgery recovery period.

Fake boobs: looks good but VERY disappointing in bed. Speaking from experience. Maybe silicon would be better since my experience is with saline implants. By the way, the whole silicon "controversy" is BS. The autoimmune diseases that it is been associated with has been scientifically disproved.

Generally the standard of plstic and cosmetic surgery in Korea is excellent.I would also not reject the anti-silicone prejudice. Spillage is always possible with all implants and a little salty water is to be prefered to a synthetic.

I beg to differ. The new 'gummy bear' silicone is as its name would suggest, not fluid hence no leakage.
...but scutdog - leave your opinions at the door please. Women get implants for themselves - not for mens pleasure...ever thought you just got your hands on a bad job?

Matilda, From what I have researched so far, Hong Kong would seem to be an expensive place for this kind of surgery, when compared to Thailand or Korea. What benefits could I expect by staying local? What are the advantages?

You can save on the air tickets......just kidding.

When complications occur (touch wood!), your doc can be easily reached if you do your surgery locally. Sometimes you may need a little re-touch and you may only find out about this after 2-3 months, by then you may already have returned given your surgery is done overseas.

I git them done in Thailand and was fully recovered after only 1 month! it is pain, but it is worth that. Dr. Amorn Pommee operated me and did a very good job. It looks very natural.
Try to reach him through email, he will email you all the information and if she goes for it, expect a waiting time. as he is apparently THE doc there..
Bumrungrad even offers for a small fee of I think only 250HKD/day a service appartment.
But it would be good, if she could have someone stay with her for at least the first 3 to 4 days..

The very best place at the very best price to have this dome is on South Africa..... go on holiday and get your boobs done at the same time.... it is a day procedure and the healing process is fast. Because of the USD$ to Rand exchange rate, the fees are reasonable and most of the good plastic surgeons use special silicon impalnts that feel very natural and look wonderful.

Please, consider anything that you do to your body may have repercussions later, for example when you breastfeed your baby or later when you are older.
There are no totally safe ways to change your body. Be happy with what you have.

Actually pumpkin you are wrong...woman get boob enlargements to get noticed...so get your facts straight...now boob implants using silicone are dangerous there are a numeber of researched articles about the dangers of leakage etc...saline is much safer but the feel is not the same.

I suggest Mr. Potatoe Head to go out get a hooker with big knockers and get it out his system, then afterwards go out and buy your wife a 1 carat diamond ring...trust me it will be alot cheaper...if however she is bent on getting the boob job I can recommend a famous HK plastic surgeon named Dr. Wong, she has a practice here in HK and if money is an issue she also has a practice in Guangzhou. She has also operayted on one of the more famous Ms Hong Kong's and is regularly featured in news papers here. I think her charges are between HK$20 - 30,000. She was trained by two of the best plastic surgeons in Asia. If you wnat her contact let me know.

As this has now been bumped up again..I would like to add that Dragon Slayer is totally incorrect with the assertions about silicone. Since his posting, silicone implants have now been approved for use in the US by the FDA (they were always permitted out here in Aia and most of the world). As I mentioned above in this thread, the new generatrion silicone isn't even a liquid so no leakage...and if anyone is totally freaked by silicone, remember that even saline implants are encased in a silicone shell.

I am a bloke but have spent some years working in the sex industry. Seen breasts and boob jobs more than most, say about 200 naked women a night for 5 years. No good ever came of boob jobs. like blokes on the gear, women who have post ops problems NEVER tell others but continue to encourage friends to do them. Blokes get a dozen complications from stacking 'roids and growth hormones but still take them and tell their mates they are fine. So both sexes can be happy at their images in front of a mirror?

Check those website for info and you will find them ALL run by cosmetic surgeons. A mate of mine is a retired reconstruction surgeon and was the most respected chap in this area in his country. He hates being lumped with these idiots. In fact, he said most MDs despise them but loathe to break ranks with the profession.

On a personal level, I researched the hell out of the subject on the internet and watched a year's worth of cable TV documentaries on implants. Coz my girl wanted her second one coz the 1st one had gone south. Literally. Guess what, almost everything I found was in favour and ALL the sites are run by the sellers of these services! I found a few site about the horrors of boob jobs but I need to dig them up. They look wrong, they feel wrong and they GO wrong. There's been several cases of hardening and needed immediate removal; leaking that needed the same; reajustment when they go out of shape; I could go on listing. I was there, I watched these girls suffered and I watched mine live in denial about the irregular shapes of her present implants. They paid top money in France, Switzerland, South Africa, etc for their ops.

I am also trained in trauma management by Ex-Med in Hereford and I couldn't believe that the Delta medics who taught us took time to tell us how to deal with problems with boob jobs! Apparently the rich clients who can afford our services can also afford bimbo trophy wives with boob jobs and being the only field medic about, we need to know what to do when they go wrong. Believe me, they do. Many Hollywood actresses have removed theirs, in kari Wuhrer's case it was an emergency op, coz they do wrong.

Since then I have tried to talk every single woman I know who wants a boob job out of it. I appeal to them on medical grounds, esthetic grounds and with just plain common sense. I failed to disuade a single one in 5 years. Including mine. In the same period, 4 associates have died directly and indirectly from steroids abuse, 3 more won't see the next Xmas. Guess how many aspiring bodybuilders I have disuaded from taking drugs? NONE! We have only lost 3 mates in Iraq in the same time.

Scaremongering? Misinformed? No disrespect intended but spend a day in my shoes.

For your own sake, drop the idea.

Sorry to bore everyone, I have more on the subject. Women who get boob jobs don't stop there. The mentality is that there is something to blame (their body) and there is a cure (ops) for things they percieve to be wrong in their lives. It is the proverbial line crossing. Blokes on a basic stroid course go onto stacking and incresing dosage. One even told me what is the point of training without the gear. Then some will move to cocaine coz the bloke that gets you the roids can get you the happy.

They all justify what they do by saying they do it for themselves, not for anyone else. I hear that if there is one one thing in life over which we have control, it's what we do. Don't listen to anyone else. I am 100% on that train. But listen to get the facts right.

I know I am talking to brick walls. All seems to have massive self esteem issues, men and women, and getting that self esteems with these crutches don't do them any good. They just need more later. I know a girl now has false boobs, bums and shoulders in HK! She looks like a manga character but she sees a beautiful image in the mirror. Who am I to tell her different if she's happy? I agree but who's going to stop me from telling her either? And sometimes, you just have to do the right thing when the rest of the world don't want to hear.

Think again before you embark on this slippery slope. Self esteem issues can be solved some other ways.
