My family is moving to Jakarta and we would like to bring our Filipino maid with us. Anybody knows what needs to be done in terms of paperwork and visas?
They may not let you do it as she will be taking a job from a local - you need to contact the Indonesian consulate to get real answers. And for the price of one Filippino, in Jakarta you could have an army of servants. (My friend had 5 - one for cooking, one for driving, a gardener, a babysitter and 2 housekeepers) They all came with the house she was in.
Well yes but my problem is, she is actually my baby sitter. I am not comfortable leaving my son to a stanger in a foreign country ... Is it really going to be that difficult?
