Hi Can any one tell how good is IVF treatment in Shanghai abd what would be the aproximate cost.and possibly give me the hospital name & address . we want to go for it .

I cannot tell you how good is the IVF treatment because I just started to visit this IVF hospital last week. It's Ji ai hospital in Fong che lu, no. 588. I don't know the total cost of the IVF but the investigation fees like blood tests are cheap. It's about 80-100RMB per blood test and the ultrsound is only 100RMB. However, you have to bear the crowd in the waitng lobby, no smiling,m no english for the nurses.....

Try also WorldLink, for all english, latest everything. Maybe expensive.

I started going to Ruidong Hospital's Fertility & IVF Center. I've done a blood test (1500RMB), ultrasound (RMB300) and consultation is RMB50.
The center is clean & bright. I made an appointment and I got to see the doctor punctually. Several other people at the waiting area. I was in and out of the hospital pretty efficiently.

I had one ivf in shanghai (xujiahui), it costs around 25000rmb depends on the medication needed (short or long protocol, etc). Considered very low compared with HK/Sin/Aussie. Anyone can give me info on a good ivf specialist? i had a very bad experience with the doctors in my first ivf.

I've chatted with some ladies (while waiting) who are undergoing IVF with Dr Huang, they said IVF costs about 30000rmb excluding hospitalization costs. One of the ladies was doing her second IVF, the first was done by another doctor a year ago, and her experience was not good too. Anyway don't give up, hang in there!

You are right. I check the cost in Jiai is around 30000rmb depending on short or long protocol.

Oops just to clarify my pricing info above, my first ultrasound at the international dept in Ruidong was Rmb300. Their OBgyn referred me to go directly to Ruidong's Fertility & IVF Center, my subsequent ultrasounds at the Fertility Center cost me Rmb100.

I'd like to know more about your bad experience at the Guofujing Fertility Centre at Xujiahui, as I am considering booking an appt with Dr Sun next wk. I visited the VIP dept and was very impressed by the level of service and environment of that hospital. I'd appreciate it if you could let me know what actually happened. Thanks!

Hi.
my husband and i have been trying to get pregnant for 3 years. we just moved to shanghai a year ago. i have been to see a couple doctors and have now been advised to go for IUI. Does anyone know of a good hospital with english speaking personel where i could go. Thanks!
