IVF in Hongkong - polyps in uterus
Posted by wishmeluck (419 days ago)
Hi all,
I am planning to have my next IVF either in Shanghai or in Hongkong, at the same time gynae has found small polyps in my uterus. Dr in sha said the polyps will not affect my IVF.
My questions:
1. Does anyone have similar experience can share it with me?
2. Any good suggestion on good IVF specialist and IVF clinic in Hongkong?
3. Does anyone know about dr Kenneth Mao in Hongkong?
Thks

Wishmeluck,
1. I had polyps in my uterus but was advised to have it removed - it reduced my chance of getting pregnant. After removing it last year, I got pregnant within 2 months. I believe it depends where the polyps is.
2. I would recommend Dr. Ho - a fertility specialist.
3. sorry - have not heard of him.

WML,
I dont remember how big it was. I think it was small but basically my doc took the view that anything that reduces the chance of getting pregnant should be removed. I would think it depends where it is and how big. I think the doc told me at the time it reduced the chance by 20%.
Yes, Dr. Philip Ho T: 852-2899-2293.

i did not have any cramping - I did not know it was there until the gyea advised me of the same. If it is bothering you, then have it removed. It was a minor operation.

WML,
The operation was around HK$25,000. Please bear in mind, I also had D&C and tissue removed from another area that was affecting fertility in the same operation - so to get the polysp removed should be about HK$15,000 - is my estimate.
