Advice Needed Shanghai-First time Preg

Hi, We are excited but also unsure, my finacee is Preg, and we do not know what to do next and where to go for doctor etc.
We are both on a tourist visa, but staying in Shanghai on Buisness, We have done three test (from Pharmacy) and all positive. Whats next.? How can we find a doctor, does she need vitamins or folic acid or something, scans ?
All very new and scary, but of course very exciting..
We are in Shanghai Puxi side and would like some advice as to what the next step would be and of course where that step can be taken..

Hi Pilzbry, congrats for the pregnancy!
There are some private hospital in puxi specialized for maternity. Try contact worldlink near xindianti, huashan sino obgyn in wulumuqi rd, peace maternity, shanghai united, etc. You can search their address in the internet.
It's best to take folic acid or any multivitamin for pregnant woman. Good luck!

Congratulations. Totally agree with wishmeluck and their hospital recommendations. Your finacee probably won't need an ultrasound until she is at least 6 weeks or 7 weeks pregnant, but you should make an appointment for her first check up anyway. She'll need to have a blood test and urine test done as well as full examination.

How much longer will you be staying in Shanghai? short time? long time?

If you have int'l insurance coverage, either Worldlink or Shanghai United will be your best options especially if you do not speak much Mandarin. They are the Western-standard/Expat hospitals. Both Huashan and Peace Maternity are 'local' hospitals (both good) that have VIP sections that generally have at least one English speaking person on staff and there is usually one or two doctors who are somewhat fluent as well.

Thanks for the replies they were very helpful, we decided to try the huashan sino obgyn, and visited them on Friday last week, reg, had full check up and a scan, wow our baby !!!! so excited and again thank you for your help. Note we will be in Shanghai for approx one year and will have to use private so i will need to save for the birth i guess, small price to pay for the happiness :-))
