i'm no chef but planning invite people over one evening for dinner and drinks...thinking of a japanese theme as i want to serve a particular fried udon recipe.
but have no ideas what easy to make starters and desserts i can serve....any ideas? great if i can prepare in advance or it's a recipe that requires minimal preparation (store bought and some cooking) thanks!

The title is a bit misleading but most Japanese dishes are really good for health anyway.
For starter you can try kidney bean with sesame dressing.Ingredients:3 1/2 oz kidney beans,pinch of salt,3 Tbsps white parched sesame,1 tbsp sugar,1 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp soya sauce.
1.Boil the kidney bean,and cut it when it cooked.
2.Mix all the ingredient toegether.
3.Lastly add in the kidney bean and it done.
For dessert you can got to supermarket jap corner and there is some instant jelly home make stuff.
