reducing the size of a video file

now how do i do this one...

have video clips about 2min-3 min long, recorded on sony handycam, how can i reduce the zie of this video file for sending the videos on email.

quality of the video is also an issue. dont want to comromise too much on that.

Impossible ! e'mails are fundamentally restricted to about 5MB of contents - which means your video would have to be a tiny 3MB file before it is aut0-converted to an e'mail attachment - and would expand to around about 5MB after the conversion.

Now there's few people with unlimited e'mail box space - and probably even they are restricted to a maximum size for any e'mail PLUS attachment - even if they didn't know it.

There's some websites which'll allow an upload of about 100MB for free - and send an e'mail to all named persons to come & download it within a week.

I forget the website name I used to use - Google for it.

why send via e-mail when there a lot of websites where can upload your file about 300Mb and send link to your friends!!!
Totally safe as no one can browse your files!

I frequently use megaupload if I need to just send one file. For multiple photos and videos sharing, I now use Picasa.
