noe nuts about ipod videos

could someone tell me how do ,what do i need to dl dvd to ipods videos?do i need some kind of converter/compressor ?where do i find them online?do you have a site i can go to?
please also advice which url for dl musics?it seems ipod tunes doesnt serve hongkong.

The best way to download music for your iPod is to rip your own CD collection. Then if you want a new song, go to HMV, buy it, then rip it.

As for movies, you'll need a program to rip DVDs (not entirely legal) and then recompress them for the iPod. Not an easy task.

Look for the freeware, 3GP Converter, to get your videos onto your iPod. It creates excellent MP4 files (for example MP4-AVC, 470x272, 400mb per hour, excellent quality).

Just Google for it; it's all over the net, because it's good and free.

I've compared it, for example, with Sorenson Squeeze. Squeeze is slower and much more unstable, compared to 3GP Converter.
