Maldives for anniversary

Hoping to take the family to Maldives. Appreciate any advice on travelling there, accomodation/hotels and things to do. I know it is not cheap but looking at something special, but not in the upmarket level in price. Just lovely accommodation and great location and food for 5 days. Any package deals out there?

unfortunately it's not the sort of place you can do on a budget, most if not all the hotels are 5 star and the rates and massive even by 5 star prices. Prices for F&B are very high too.

there are nice packages by Singapore Airlines which gives you the best connections out of Hong Kong..........!Also Tiglion.com offers Maldives packages.......I have been over 10x and there are great islands for as low as US$ 150 per night/room...........depends what you are looking for (family-resport, diving, watersports, spa.......)
