Weekend Away Within Hong Kong

Does anyone know of a good place to go for a weekend break WITHIN Hong Kong? Perhaps there's a nice little hotel on an outlying island somewhere? We live in Central and are a little tired of catching flights for short trips but we love to escape the city for a few days when we can. We're going to Macau next but would love to hear of any suggestions for places within HK. Thanks!

Just an idea but look at Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel up in New Territories. Good food, nice pool, sauna, stuff for kiddies, good restaurants on site and a small selection of restaurants within walking distance, beach with lifeguards. Hmm. Maybe I shouldn't recommend it, I see their prices have gone up! Ask if they have any weekend packages or special rates.

HK Disneyland Hotel or Hollywood Hotel or what about the hotel in Mui Wo along Silvermine Bay Beach front or there is another hotel 15 mins walk from the ferry pier at Lamma Island - if you google it I am sure it will come up.
