For anyone thinking of going to Siem Reap in Cambodia, home of the Angkor temples, Shinta Mani hotel is great (www.shintamani.com).

i wanna go to cambodia via BKK in CNY as well, but i cannot find anyone doing the same thing. May be i need to go by myself...:(
Think I will go to BKK then Phen Phonm, then siem Reap of Angkor Wot tour, then back to BKK. Still dunno what to do.

matho - i found it great, that's why i posted this!!! it's not backpacker prices but was cheap cos we booked a package. there are loads of cheap guesthouses in sieam reap though.

Shinta Mani - just got back. Very small hotel - 18 rooms but clean, decent. Rooms are starting to show their age. Full wireless internet is available. Definitely not 5 star level, more like 3 star. Boutique hotel on a quiet street. Small pool and decent spa. One small restaurant. Staff were friendly though.
